| Synopsis Still reeling from his disastrous relationship with his ex-wife, Paradise, Massachusetts, police officer Jesse Stone fights off the unhealthy allure of the bottle in the face of a grisly double-homicide. Fortunately Sunny Randall, the private investigator who Jesse's had an intermittent affair with for a while, comes to town. Sunny has her own case--and her own emotional baggage--to deal with, but she and Parker manage to help each other out. Working together, they investigate some convoluted mafia killings involving "retired" heavies and twin wives and track down a young woman mixed up with a cult. Fans of Robert B.
