The worst thing about buying a pinball machine is you never really know its history, where it's been and how many times played. Did it come from an arcade where thousands of kids pounded on it millions of times? Or a bar or club where adults shook the life out of it? You get the picture. I bought the Simpsons and Twilight Zone for my kids 18 years ago and they have never been played by anyone outside the family. Now my grandkids play them. All together over the years they got played probably 3-4 times a week and never more than 1-2 hours. That's it. Neither one has ever broken down or needed repair and they've been fixtures in our Den ever since. They are always shut off when not in use. So for all intents and purposes they are in really good shape. The decks are not worn from play, flippers work great as do the lights, but because we live in Florida the heat has affected the wood around the backbroards with some cracks but nothing significant. These machines are scores. And priced reasonably. We can ship but prefer pick up. |
