Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
You are buying a brand new replacement LPG (propane) burner, as pictured, for a Shipmate Stove, manufactured by Richmond Ring and Co. This is a first of a series of parts to COMPLETLY, rebuild your LPG, Shipmate Stove or Range.
These burners are brand new and manufactured to fit ANY Shipmate Stove...
I have included a picture of the typical rusted out original burner... You will receive a new burner, new longer, brass burner "jet" or hood, new mounting screws, cobalt drill & tap, teflon sealant and detailed instructions. A new mounting hole, will need to be drilled and tapped, for each burner.
Most people buy 2 or 3 burners to replace ALL the top burners, on your stove top, so they all look the same...
Sometimes I have a run low on inventory, not to worry, I will order more in. Normally it takes about a week to get more stock... e-mail me with any questions.
Shipping, with insurance, will be a flat rate of $15 for 1, 2 or 3 burners to the lower 48 states...
Other destinations will be quoted as needed.
Items in addition to the replacement burners and new orifices, supplied in this kit are:
Small Brass Brush
Cobalt Drill Bit for 10-24 Thread
4 ea. Short SS RH Screws for Top Cover Replacement
1 ea. Longer SS RH Screws for securing New Burners
White Thread Sealant in zip lock bag
7 pages of instructions
Other Shipmate parts, that are available are new stove grates, new original "red button" oven safeties, new brass stove top burners valves, new oven burners, remanufactured oven thermostats, remanufactured oven safeties, new stove top knobs, Oven Thermsotat knobs and New Top Burner Grates.
I have been doing conversions of Shipmate, Kenyon and Gas Systems ranges and stoves from alcohol or kerosene, to propane for over 25 years.
Up until now, I have only done conversions, in my shop in Ft. Lauderdale...
But I have decided to finish the instructions, for conversions by costumers. I will offer free phone consultation as well...
The advantages to doing your own conversion, are many:
a) You could keep your old stove, which most people prefer to do (Shipmate Stoves were made very well sort of the 1957 chevy of the stoves.
b) Customers prefer not having to install new gimbals, or worry about the fit of a new stove, both of which can require some cabinet work, which can be difficult on some boats.
c) You could save as much as $500 over buying say a $1000 new stove (the parts will cost you $500 to $700 depending on the options you want to choose, in your conversion.
d) Part of the conversion would require me to lend you some special tools and collect a refundable deposit.
e) I also would include e-mail and phone consultation at no charge...
f) The last reason for doing your own conversion, would be that you would understand your stove intimately and be able to fix it yourself, down the road... should it ever need parts. (Speaking of parts, the parts I would sell you are all new, current production or custom made by myself.
