SAMICK D7-12 GREG BENNETT BEAUMONT SERIES MINT

Item Description

SAMICK D-7 12 String  SOLID CEDAR TOP   Compare to $348.00 new

This guitar is a tribute to the tradition of American guitar building. If there was an icon for the acoustic guitar, it would be the rosewood sides and back, solid top dreadnaught. It was the first guitar with a body large enough to produce serious power. Players fell in love with it, right from the start. The cosmetic treatment is true to those original guitars with small slotted square inlays and bold white body binding. If you need a guitar powerful enough to fill a room without a PA, this is the one to do it.

The BEAUMONT™ series utilizes rosewood sides and back to produce a clearly defined low mid range with excellent harmonics for the high-end sparkle that so many players require. Players that have an intricate style, and insist on an evenly balanced and defined sound, will appreciate this combination. Traditional X-style top bracing provides a fast accurate response, with power and projection.

D 7-12 FEATURES

Solid cedar top
Rosewood back and sides
Slotted square fret markers
8 ply white binding
Grover™ tuners
Dreadnought

The Samick Musical Instrument company is an important guitar manufacturer, at the start of the 21st century. When large scale production of guitars became uneconomical in the USA and Europe, many western brands outsourced their manufacturing to highly automated and cost effective Korean manufacturers like Samick. The instruments are then distributed under a variety of brandnames (like Epiphone or Washburn for example).
The very first Samick guitars were made around 1965, by what was then the Samick Piano Company. Many of these instruments were made for other companies, and were branded as such. The Samick Piano Company became the Samick Musical Instrument Company in 1973. The name change reflected the diverse range of instruments made by Samick. Towards the end of the 1970s the international importance of Samick was reflected by their establishment of offices in the USA and Germany, and the opening of a large guitar manufacturing facility in Korea.
In 1992, an Indonesian factory was opened, this currently accounts for most of the guitar production. Also in 1992 Samick aquired the Valley Arts brand name as an outlet for exclusive and custom instruments. The Valley Arts brand was sold on to Gibson in 2002. Samick also distributes guitars under its own brand, although since 1999 the brand name "Samick - Greg Bennett Guitars" has also been used. According to their website Greg Bennett is an industry marketing and design veteran (with a marketable western sounding name and Nashville pedigree!).
Many musicians prefer a subtle understated look in their guitars. They prefer that the music is not upstaged by the guitar. For these players SAMICK offers the Remington. To give the guitar a serious attitude without excessive flash, the Remington is bound in six ply black reverse binding. This gives it a real edge without being overly flamboyant. The sides and back are made of striped mahogany for exceptional balance and an even tone. The top is solid cedar, which produces the warmest low mids with sparkling harmonics for the definition and character. The scalloped top braces add to the power and responsiveness of the top. Striped mahogany sides and back are used to create a full rich sound with the clarity and balance today's players demand. The only tribute to flash is the simple abalone rosette and the small abalone fret markers.

Refurbished Guitars At GGW - What is a Refurb?

Purchasing a refurbished guitar is a great way to put way more guitar into your arsenal for a lot less money.  We are a proud reseller of many refurbished guitars.  Here are some of the many features you'll find when you buy a refurb.

  • Be The First To Own: Refurbished guitars have generally never been owned but are classified as used by the used stamp in the back of the headstock.
  • Straight From The Factory to an authorized refurbishing center, for any number of reasons, mostly due to small cosmetic issues.  Any issue was expertly repaired by a large team of manufacturer certified luthiers.
  • No Structural Issues with our refurbished guitars.  Unlike many other sellers online, we only sell cosmetic blemished items, not structural repairs.
  • Great Feedback: Our eBay feedback will give you a good idea of the great reputation of refurbished instruments.  We have sold over 1,800 refurbished guitars in the last 6 years and still maintain 100% positive feedback on eBay.
  • You Get A Guitar In Brand New Condition At A Used Price!
