Is the Homeschool edition just for students?
No! The Homeschool edition covers the same language content as the Personal edition, in the same order, at the same pace. The Homeschool edition is not a juvenile program.
What’s the difference between the Version 3 Homeschool edition and the Version 4 (TOTALe) Personal edition?
The core teaching software is the same in both versions. V4 (TOTALe) includes a one-person subscription to some additional online components. The duration of the subscription varies (3 to 15 months) depending on which bundle is purchased. These extra components are online studio coaching sessions, an iPhone app, and online games and activities. (Rosetta Stone also offers online games and activities FREE at www.rworld.com.) The V3 Homeschool edition can be installed on 2 computers, each of which will accommodate up to 5 users, for a total student capacity of 10 users. V4 can only be installed on one computer. For Spanish, English, German, and French, the V3 Homeschool edition includes print-on-demand workbook pages, as well as quizzes and tests, so learners can put pencil to paper in the target language if they wish. Finally, the V3 Homeschool edition includes a Parents’ Guide and an additional Activation Card which unlocks extra administrative features.
Is the Homeschool edition available in V4 (TOTALe)?
No. Because of the security risks involved with minors interacting online, young learners are not permitted to access the online components. For this reason, they have not been added to the Homeschool edition.

The Audio Companion is a set of audio CDs that can be played on a regular CD player (such as in a car stereo system) or downloaded to an MP3 player. They provide additional drill on the development of listening and speaking skills in a portable format. No new content is introduced in the Audio Companion. Rather, it gives extra practice related to specific Rosetta Stone lessons. The Audio Companion helps learners formulate responses spontaneously (based on what they’ve learned with the software), which prepares them for real-time dialogue in the target language. You simply play the CD, listen, and respond verbally.
