An exquisite 1860’s changeable olive green and royal blue silk mantle cape. The fabric has a strong gold undertone depending on the light reflection. The mantle is lavishly trimmed with beige and royal blue silk passementarie braiding. The cape has very long front lappets. The hemline is trimmed with gold and royal blue silk fringe. The cape was once lined with silk but has just a few small remnants remaining. It is in fair condition with some age spotting and a few scattered ¼ to ½ inch splits. The mantle is being displayed over a dress that is being offered in a separate auction. Front length nit including fringe 43 back length not including fringe 24. PAYPAL only. Buyer pays shipping.
