Here's Tarantino's culture shaking debut--back when he was a new filmmaker on the scene. For many, this is still a high water mark--before all the stereotypical QT Hallmarks became so evident (the cool people in cool places, dialogue that doesn't advance the plot, jump cuts and time shifting) Here, Tarantino's style was all still quite new, and this Blue Ray transfer looks good. The infamous ear scene after all these years isn't as brutal as it was in 1992, but the scene and the rest of the film still packs a heavy punch--though one is given to laugh at Nice Guy Eddie's cell phone. We might as well be in the 70's with Lee Marvin again, and that's the fun. This Blue Ray disc deducts one star as not all the Extras featured in the standard def collectors 2-disc edition are found here. The deleted scenes merited deleting. Maybe that's to be expected in the 20th anniversary edition!?Read full review

Idk if this is supposed to be a review for the Blu-ray product or the movie, but the movie is awesome. The 15th anniversary blu-ray is the only solo release I've found out there, and is especially worth your money since it comes with a digital code so you can watch the film any time and place online.

Tarantino was off to a great start with his directorial debut back in 1991 with this excellent crime flick. This movie was my favorite Tarantino film before Inglorious Basterds. The sole reason for this is because of scene with Michael Madsen about to burn a man alive, dancing to "Stuck In The Middle With You" by Stealers Wheel playing on a radio behind him. As he was pouring gasoline all over the bound and tortured man, dancing to this song, I was staring in horror at about what was about to happen next. And then I looked down and noticed that my foot was tapping along with the music. That scene, couple with the writing, cinematography, and wonderful cast make this a must-see for lovers of crime films.
seriously ? people come to ebay to read reviews about these products ? isn't that like going to the bakery and asking what kind of cut of beef is best ? i think i'll go to the ymca and get their opinion on a book i want to read. hey lets go to the movies i better go online to a sporting news site to find out what is good. i made a bet on this yrs super bowl. went down to the preschool to find out what the spread was and who they thought was best. well enough on this review i need to stop at hardware store for some sandpaper cause i gotta take a crap. enjoy the movie y'all christoph waltz was great and tarantino one of the top 2 story tellers and directors of our generation.
