These are the seasons which started it all. Certainly the most raw, real and interesting times for the show. You really get a feel that this a low budget show run by crazies which is bodes to how well the cast crew and staff are. As we can see in the first season, they give it this low budget community feel which is not in my opinion unlike other cult classics like Trailer Park Boys. IN some respects this is the first true mockumentary. We then slide into season 2 where we are shown much more about the lodge and those in it. From the quirks of the individual lodge members to scenes around the Possum Lake area in their own locations. Season 3 sort of sums up what they learned as far as creating the show and trying new things out in the previous two seasons and bring a more stable and experienced style to the programming, yet are still able to capture that unique charm and feel. Watching this DVD set, you will no doubt get a feel for how this series came together and lasted as long as it did.Read full review
Bought these for my husband for his birthday. We used to watch the Red Green Show on PBS several years ago then they stopped airing it. I know these will be hilarious and so much fun to watch from the very beginning. If you like the Trailer Park Boys, also a low budget series, then you will also love Red Green! Also, this was a great deal. Saw this same set advertised in a catalog I recently received for $99.99! I plan to add to this collection to finally have the whole set!
The later seasons are better......this, earlier seasons, is still good but I think it just took a few season to really get the best.
