So as many of you may know, these little filters for the Intex pumps get hard to find and extremely expensive during the summer months. The original Intex filters, like the ones that come with a new pump are very good quality, strong and well made. They have a great seal, don't crush on install, and clean up very nicely. I've ordered the summer saves brand before and they were so poor in quality and filtration that we decided to not use them. I had to take a razor knife and cut out the inner-most part of the filter seal so it would properly fit the pump housing and not crush when you install the filter lid. Point is you want these filters for your pump to work at it's best.

The cheap ones allow enough water to flow through and last a lot longer since they are easy to rinse and use several times over. The intex have thick pleats that are hard to wash out and it seals so tight and is so thick it taxes your pump. Water flow is minimal. They are good quality and made well - just maybe too well to perform the job and allowing the water to flow through the material.

It was a good buy. It seems like everyone bought pools that required this type of filter. This filter was sold out in all my surrounding stores.
