Reborn baby Girl doll now Kendra/ LIfelike Newborn size Heirloom collectors OOAK 

Reborn as “Kendra'' this little darling has been bought to life by me via the Genesis heat layering paint process.

* She has little scratches & marks and even a wee pathch dry blister skin on her top lip....all this in an effort to achieve an as realistic an outcome as possible.

* I use my artist skills, and planning in order to achieve a realistic outcome for my baby’s skin. Which includes blushing, mottling, capillary’s, and other little marks that baby’s have

* This step in the reborning process is what will eventually determine my new baby’s flesh tones.

* I achieve this by alternating, translucent layering of heat set paints.
* Brushwork and sponging techniques for application, which vary with each reborn.
* Every crease and wrinkle has been enhanced and defined.

* When I am completely satisfied with the final layering and colouring, it is then time to do the pedicure and manicure of my “dear little bub’s” tiny fingers and toes.

*I like to use 2 layers of base coat, and then paint the nail before topping off with a final layer of varnish to protect and prevent chipping.

* I finish the final step by setting the paint & colour over the whole of the baby, with a Matt varnish, which can also help to protect and prevent shine.

* All of my reborns, has their little nostrils opened and lined with felt for a more natural look.
I feel that this process is a necessity, as it really does make my little babies look more life like. This method, in my opinion does in no way.. affect or weaken the vinyl.

I no longer choose to use magnets to hold a dummy in place, but instead I use a small dob of Blu-tak, which does suffice.The dummy is usually held onto the mouth intermittently.

*There is a magnet inside her head to hold her little bow hair accessory.

**Although the magnetic field of the magnets I use is not overly strong it is always a good rule to take care when in the midst of pacemakers & anything that emitts a magnetic field etc.

My ultimate aim is to produce a life- like reproduction of human baby, skin, hair & nails.

*Her hair is micro hand rooted with beautiful soft quality premium black hair, which is slightly wavy, and can also be lightly spritzed and scrunched.

*The hair is felted into the head one or two hairs at a time in a directional pattern, using a very fine needle, in order to eliminate unsightly clumping, which can come from using a larger needle.

*I then seal it on the inside, to allow for a slight dampening and gentle styling.

**(Please take extra care with hair, as it needs to be handled gently & with extreme care..do not pull on tug on the hair!**

Bringing this tiny little Newborn doll to life has been a rewarding achievement for me. However, sometimes it really is hard to say goodbye to my “dear little bubs”

It does give me a sense of satisfaction and pleasure, when it comes to adopting my babies out to a loving Mum, whom I know loves and wants her as much as I do.

The care, the smiles, the delight and endless hours work that I have put into this “dear little bub” has managed to produce the most beautiful & adorable almost real little baby...
I give each and every one of my babies a fairy kiss and lots of hugs and cuddles before they leave my nursery... and yes, we have a little chat too!

This little newborn size reborn doll, is now a collectors item which can be passed down through the generations to come.
Not a toy for children and is known in the reborn world as an ''OOAK'' (one of a kind)

OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW!
* DO NOT tug or pull on  the hair..although it is sealed and glued on the inside, extrememe care is still required when brushing, combing and styling.

* Extreme caution is required when picking Kendra up from her sleep, as her head and body need to be supported, to prevent unnecessary strain on the body seams..she needs to be handled like a real baby.

* As a precautionary measure, I photograph your baby in his/her postage box prior to departure from my nursery
* Upon arriving at your home, your baby will be in a smaller box than perhaps anticipated by you..and may be compacted for postage
* All of her outfits are brand new
* I will not be responsible for any of my reborns which become a re-sale & therefore second hand. I am responsible only to my original purchaser.
