This Bull American alligator was captured in the Fish-Eating Creek Wild-life Management Area in S. Florida 2011 by Dennis Perkins, a state licensed trapper with over 25 years of experience, this was the largest one he had ever captured. It is truly unique measuring 13'4" in length when skinned out and weighing in at over 700LBS. With a mid-section girth and jowl (or jaw muscles) of over 5 feet, this was a really big gator and for anyone concerned with the death of this animal, he was considered to be very dangerous and a nuisance gator. Dennis Perkins was contacted by the Florida Dep. of Natural Resources to remove the animal so everything was done humanely and legally. This gator was close to a record. He is mounted on a carpeted platform with wheels so he is relatively easy to move on a flat surface. He is 7'2" from the floor to the tip of his snout. There are many mounted gators around but most taxidermists will not mount one of this size in the standing up position because of the sheer size of it. We only found one guy that would do it, but it worked out great because he did an awesome job. He used steel in the feet, legs, and lower body, it was the only way this would work. This may be the only real gator of this size mounted standing up, doing a Heisman trophy pose in the country. I'm not saying one is not in existence but none of the taxidermists we spoke with had ever seen or heard of anything like this before. The original tag is still in his tail ( this is the legal way) and I have all of the legal documents, pics, paper-work, original contract to capture issued by the state of Florida, ect, It's all there and it's all legal. In true University of Florida passion, he is decorated with an official XXX NCAA #15 Nike Tim Tebow jersey and in his hand he holds an official Florida Gators NCAA football that was hand-signed (not stamped or printed) by Tim Tebow, Steve Spurrier, and Danny Wuerffel (all Heisman Trophy winners) and of course comes with the certificate of authenticity . The autographed ball alone is very valuable and we have it wrapped up in the box for safe keeping. The ball you see in the pics is a plain Florida Gators ball we used to display it and to take pics but both balls come with it. You can contact me Don Perkins at (hm) 912-267-6389 or (c) 912-506-3200 anytime. I normally am always near a phone but leave a message if I miss you and I will respond promptly. This gator was featured on live television on 817/12 Fox 35 Orlando. Ebay will not allow me to put the email address of the video on the ad but if you contact me, I will give it to you. I strongly suggest watching it to anyone who is interested for this will give you a better idea of how big this thing is. I personally have invested around 6K in this project mostly due to the difficulty and expense of the mount, I didn't cut any corners and the mount turned out great, I've seen some really bad mounts on here that were pretty pricy.
I'm starting the bidding at 10K and I know it is well worth it because of how unique it is, you can't go the store and buy one like this. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm sure none of your buddies will have one of these in his man cave come game-day! Thanks for your interest and I look forward to answering any questions you may have. GOD BLESS and GO GATORS! ;] |
