Rare Vintage General Electric GE 106 Radio Phonograph Combo Player


By General Electric (GE) – Circa 1940s – 1950s.


Model No. 106.


Combo Tube Radio & Phonograph.


Has been tested and radio is in working order, with the light turning on, unit picking up a handful of A.M. stations with operational volume control, tone switch, and tuning (tuner dial may need a little tweaking as its response when you turn it left is a little weak, although it does move/tune, albeit slowly – I think it will just be a matter of tightening the bands inside).


As phonograph currently sits, it is not operational as I cannot get turntable to automatically rotate when prompted – I believe it’s a motor issue as the turntable moves freely when moved manually.


Be that as it may, I must sell combo unit “as is,” for repair/parts or as a collectible.


I will however guarantee unit does not arrive DOA (except for turntable as noted above) and as pictured and described or your money back.


Good vintage condition showing some relatively minor scattered signs of aging/wear, including some wood/edge wear/discoloring and other minor standard signs of aging (see photos).


Front mesh looks very nice with no rips and some minor discoloring.


No breaks or cracks to knobs or station display.


Measures approximately 18 1/4" x 13 1/2” x 9 1/2”.
