2die4jewels is offering this pre-owned signed vintage costume jewelry set from my mother's private collection. I have held onto it for many years and have finally decided to part with it - I want to find it a loving home. This earlier set is truly stunning and very rare with the most fabulous sparkling color combination and sparkle in excellent vintage condition - the design with the antique style triple heart station bracelet and pave' set geometric bar alternating drop stations with this unique color combo is absolutely mesmerizing. Both pieces are done in an antiqued gold tone. The three hearts on the bracelet appear to be done in japanned black finish as well as the ornate paved foldover clasp - giving the look of an antiqued silvertone. The necklace is all done entirely in an antiqued gold tone with the exception of the seven double column bar stations with pave crystals which appear to be in a japanned black finish as well - giving it an antiqued look. You can see better from the back of the necklace that it almost appears like a pot metal - the pave stations are actually soldered to the graduated prong set rhinestone chain - it is quite a heavy piece too - both pieces are quite heavy. I am not a jewelry collector so I am limited in my knowledge - you will know better then I.  I have provided many photo's of the pieces for you to the right.

BRACELET measures 7 1/4 inches total in length by 3/4" inches wide at the heart stations - it has the safety chain with the spring ring clasp that attaches once the bracelet is on to securely keep it on your wrist - a whopping 24.70 grams

NECKLACE measures approx 16 1/4" inches when laid out flat form one end to the other end (including the closure) - the geometric double pave bar stations with larger round 8mm colored chatons are 3/4" inches tall - a whopping 39.50 grams

You have varying size chatons - 4mm, 5mm 6mm 7mm and 8mm round faceted prong set rhinestones in an amethyst color, a champagne topaz color, a deep capri blue color that has a violet royal blue top coat with deep ocean blue turquoise and purple & magenta undertones that seem to change color when turned in the light - they have a blinding bright and flashing fire to them.

The blue & silver foil tag says "Jewels by Weiss" in cursive and on the reverse side A W Co with the large central "W" within an extra tall elongated silver crown. According to online research the oval placard on the back of the bracelet with the word "WEISS"" was first used in 1951. The back of the unusual slip thru notched clasp of the necklace is also stamped WEISS as well on the very back.

Excellent Vintage Condition - the only real visible wear is on the back of the pieces! Stones are all present and secure - full of amazing sparkle - blindingly bright and beautiful - would make such a special gift for any lady lover of sparkles, costume jewelry lover, collector, dealer, connoisseur.

A little bit about Albert Weiss - he was a former Coro employee who left to open his own Jewelry Company around 1942 in New York. The company flourished during the early 195's right on thru 1960's by offering high end costume jewelry with high quality colorful austrian crystal rhinestones used in innovative and unique designs - also well known for their insects and butterflies and their use of aurora borealis stones. They manufactured some of the most gorgeous rhinestone jewelry of the post World War II era. After his retirement, his son took over operations of the company. They ceased production in 1971 according to research online.
