This is a jaeger leCoultre compass 35mm camera. no.1187

Known as the Compass from 1938. It was manufactured by Jaeger Le Coultre for Swiss production house, Swiss Watch. It was thought to be an incarnation of the science system in miniature.

The 1938 advertisement declared "Compass the embodiment of scientific system in miniature cameras. Built like a watch - as simple to use." In the 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" it embodied "as an integral part of its construction almost all the accessories which normally are carried separately." The Compass used 24x36mm negatives on glass plates or on roll film with optional roll back.

all images of the camera is taken recently .... the best of my knowledge as a photographer for 30 years, this little camera is fully operational camera, however, is the film a little problem, but well-stocked photo dealers will help with this, although I have used the camera more like a pleasure, taken it up once in a while and enjoyed the camera's many features and details
