The Odyssey was Peavey’s foray into set-neck guitars. The 25th-anniversary Odyssey was Peavey’s foray into high-end set-necks. I have one I’m not playing, and there are bills to pay, so it’s time for the Peavey to go. It’s a shame. It plays extremely well, with very low action. The humbuckers are powerful, and can be split with the standard toggle. The fit and finish are absolutely as good as Peavey gets. This is an exceedingly well-made guitar. I will be honest, though: This is not a high-grade specimen. There’s a nearly dime-sized finish chip on the lower bout that goes all the way to the wood. It happened on my watch, and I have no idea how. There was a mark on the face of the guitar that was finished over at some point. There’s some minor chipping on the back of the headstock and towards the back of the guitar, by the strap button. I’m not sure all the tuners are original, though there are no extraneous holes. It has a new nut. Okay, if you can deal with all that you can have a tremendous playing guitar, an American-made gigging axe with great eye appeal, serial number #3 of a very limited run, for a great price. The guitar comes in a gig bag and will be well-packed for shipping. Please add $40 for shipping and contact me with any questions. Good luck bidding, and thanks! |
