Skill Level:

With much regret and sweat, I have decided to let this rare trumpet go. Life changes and other needs arise. This is an extremely rare horn and it is in fine condition. I have just chem cleaned the horn and hand polished the gold plate. The horn has some lightening of the gold around the 3rd valve slide on point of contact, and the finger hook had to be re-soldered a few years back, so solder shows just around the bottom of the hook. There is also slight wear around front of valve section from hand contact, no color loss just some small bumps. Very few minor pings in bell flair halfway to end of tuning slide. I can try and remove them before shipment. They would not show in pics as small as they are. The horn is going on 40 years old, it is not new. The leadpipe is clean and smooth and there is no "red rot" on this horn that I can find. I can't get close up pics with my camera so I will describe all details accurately. Serial number is 5391XX which indicates 1976 manufacture according to Holton Loyalist list.
The ST-200 is a .465 large bore horn originally designed for Bud Brisbois. It is a lightweight "lead" horn with a very light bell and matching lightweight leadpipe. It is a screamer! I have owned this horn since 1980 and had it totally overhauled and gold-plated by Anderson's Plating in Elkhart,In in the late 1980's.
It is in remarkable condition with very few minor blemishes listed above. The valves are excellent and it screams when pushed, yet is very warm when played with reserve. I played this horn my senior year of high school and throughout college in jazz band and wind ensemble...no one ever told me my sound didn't fit! If you are a lead player, this is what this horn was made to do. Modest reserve at less than cost of gold plate! I have excellent feedback and am describing as accurately as I can. I know this horn well, it is a part of me!
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

No case included, but will be shipped in massive quantities of bubble wrap and insured!
