ORIGINAL RUSSION WRISTWATCH
I bring to your attention the SOVIET fully original wrist-watch KIROVSKIE, which was made by the First Moscow Watch Factory in about 1960’s.
This vintage timepiece features an original light-colored dial with a 60 minute checkered outer track border, Arabic numerals, gold-colored hands and central thin second’s hand. The original dial is signed ‘KIROVSKIE’ below the 12. There are also inscriptions: 1 MChZ im.Kirov (The First Moscow Watch Factory named after Kirov) and ‘Made in USSR’.
The case with solid lugs and a rotating screwed lid are in good condition. The watch has protection against impacts and penetrations of a dust. The watch has penetrations of moisture and a dust. The back lid is signed in Cyrillic: ‘ANTI-SHOCK BALANCES’, ‘DUST PROOF AND WATER RESISTANT’. The winding crown is in excellent shape, operating smoothly.
The watch is mechanical and completely original. The original movement with genuine jewels was very well saved and is in a good status. To enhance the power coming through the train, the center wheel is provided with a jewel. The jewel of the central axis provides more equable transfer of effort, and testifies to high level of the mechanism. The movement has a serial number and logo of Watch factory, which was put on the mechanism from 1945 until 1963. It's a VERY reliable movement. Many of these movements work for many years! Recently there was a joke among Russian watchmakers: You shouldn't clean Russian watches not to spoil a structure of dirt.

HISTORY:
The First Moscow Watch Factory was founded in 1930 under orders from Stalin and was the first Soviet manufacturer of the watch and mechanical movement. 1935 is the year in which the factory was given the name Sergei Mironovich Kirov - was crucial in the history of the factory. The reconstruction of the enterprise began.
According to the agreement (reparations) after the WW2 Russia had got from Germany some equipment, tools, etc. Glashutte factories had lost almost all machinery. It was quite new equipment, so the Russians were able to produce modern movements of that time, using high class of finishing.
The introduction of new equipment and new technological processes allowed the release of new types of watch with complex mechanisms: with a central second hand. Watch models such as 'Moskva', 'Mayak', 'Sportivnie', 'Rodina', 'Kirovskie' appeared.
According to the results of the work in 1991, 1992 and 1993, the factory was awarded International rewards 'For quality'. The First Moscow Watch Factory is the pioneer of watch manufacturing in the USSR. Almost all types of man's mechanical watches in the USSR, that were famous, were developed and produced in this factory.
