RECORD GRADING GUIDELINES

MINT (M): Perfect! This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains. No stickers address labels, writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover or record period! Age of the record has nothing to do with it.

NEAR MINT or NM, M- : this record appears virtually flawless A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is be as close to perfect as can be.

EXCELLENT or EX or VG++ : minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs and NO Scratches COVER: Artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. Some impressions to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white (where the artwork pasted slick was) meaning, slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs can make this grade.

VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+ record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. If the flaws don't cause any surface noise, the vinyl can still make the VG+ grade. COVERS: A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it.The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes popping through. The corners will be slightly dog eared yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork. In essence, a VG+ cover should have no more than 3 flaws mentioned.

VERY GOOD or VG: this record is a record that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good, but it will STILL play very good. there will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. The Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will appear to have been played and may still have some degree of luster. VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There will be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off. Giving the cover a look of snow falling. If the artwork looks snowy all over, it is less than VG condition. There may be some writing on the cover (still, no Large letters in magic marker). It will look aged and more yellowish due to contamination's in the air (sometimes looking like cigarette smoke). Still it should be decent.

Please note that manufacturers will often make changes to a particular model, and not change the model #. These changes are not always readily apparent to us in our examination. Keep in mind that many of our items are used and not the most recent release of a product. If a particular option is important to you, please look over the pictures closely; if you are unable to determine if the item we are selling is the exact version you need, ask us to verify before you bid. Many of our items have been used in audiovisual staging businesses. Items may be engraved or have a logo on the exterior. Unless otherwise stated in the item description, the item or items in this auction do not come with remotes, any original paperwork or manuals. Every item is carefully photographed and if it's not in the photograph it means it's not included (including power chords and A/C adapters.) If we have more than one item of the same kind and model, the serial number of the item sold may vary. We guarantee though, that you will get exactly what is being described and photographed otherwise.

Shipping/Pickups:

We ship items to the 48 lower states. We will ship to Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii (for an added expense.) International shipments may be possible if size/weight permits. We will not ship large packages to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Most of our items ship UPS Ground. Small items under 2 pounds will be shipped USPS priority at our discretion. If an item arrives damaged, we MUST be notified within 24 hours in order to assist you in filing a claim with the shipping company. If we do not hear from you within this time frame, it will be more difficult to process your claim and we will not be responsible for any declines on claims or delays. You MUST save all original packaging and inform your local delivery person if visible damage to the box is evident at the time of delivery. Pick ups are OK from our location in Middle Village, Queens (11379) and some items from Jersey City. We require that you bring your eBay and PayPal invoice with you. If you intend to pay cash on pick up, make sure you bring your eBay invoice, and call us for a mutually convenient appointment. We will combine individual items into one order in an attempt to save shipping costs. When you are ready to pay, simply send an email requesting us to consolidate your order. DO NOT pay for items individually if you wish for them to be combined!

Refund Policy:

Your money will be refunded should the item arrive to you D.O.A. AV2YOU reserves the right to establish the nature of damage. If item was damaged by shipper we expect buyer to file a proper claim with the shipper and to save all original packing. By bidding on this auction you agree to all terms. Items are sold with a not-DOA* (dead on arrival) guarantee. If this product fails to work as described in the auction within 3 days from the date you receive it, let us know and we will gladly help you resolve the problem. Most of the time we can solve the issue with a simple service call as the item was operated incorrectly by user. If the item is actually DOA we will accept the return and provide a complete refund including shipping and handling. If operator error is the cause of DOA we will not issue a refund. Refunds are only given in the extreme case that the item is not the same model described and/or pictured. We cannot accept a return on any items that you "may change your mind on." After the 3-day period has passed, we will not extend exchange privileges or refunds. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any item sold "AS-IS" in the auction condition line will not be accepted as a returned item nor will any refunds given. This means that the item has not been tested and therefore we cannot issue guarantees on such.
