Works as advertised, very fast way to prime. My first hand primer, so I can’t compare to others. I chose this over Lee (most of my equipment is Lee) because of a lot of poor reviews on the new Lee hand prime. Also, this uses standard shell holders, which I already have. I primed about 150 30/06 cases in about 30 minutes. Very little hand fatigue. It should be stated that non-RCBS shell holders may not fit as well in this tool. I had to shave a 1000th or 2 off of the insert/guide to get everything to fit together(using my Lee shell holder). No big deal, just be aware. Happy with this tool so far.

Complicated little tool. Doesn't work very smooth. I'm Glad I had an extra #03 RCBS shell holder to put in it.. I will consider it a permanent attachment so I don't have to take this thing apart ever again..as long as I keep loading for 308 270 and 243 or similar case that calles for number 3 shell holder. And also the ram was not going up in the primer hole. It was misaligned and I had to take my case debuting tool and bevel the inside of the hole . The beveled hole now acts as a guide and the ram goes in the hole as needed to install the primer... yes ive had a little trouble. But I guess I'm ok with it now

Thought rcbs would live up to it's reputation but this time it did not. Primers do not feed well into priming tool. Have to shake it around to get primers to feed and even then they don't feed very well. Lid on primer box isn't secure enough. Not impressed! I would highly recommend getting the Lee hand priming tool. They make two different ones. Get the higher priced one. A much smoother operation, much better than the rcbs. I will resell this rcbs and go back to the lee priming tool. Should have stay with the lee but rcbs looked like it was better built. Looks isn't everything. There is a very distinguishing difference. Never had any problems to really speak of as compared to the rcbs plus it saves you a few bucks.

does the job slowly so you can inspect primer inset as you go,,,,a little cantankerous to reassemble pawl into spring loaded primer pusher,,,I use a small bent piece of stiff wire to line up pawl with notch in squeeze handle,,,,once in place works fine,,,,( you have to disassemble to change from small to large primers of course) well made and you can see clearly if an up-side-down primer finds its way in to the loading chamber,,,,not built for speed but for safety,,,good tool

I really like this tool for hand priming my cases. I like the feel of seating the primer, after a short time it is easy to tell when the primer is fully seated. I find it is fast and safe to use with the only drawback being the need to change shell holders and guides for the different size cases and primers. I don't mind this though as I usually do large batches at a time for each particular case. RCBS is also very supportive of their products. I broke a tray and guide after I dropped the unit on the floor. I called RCBS to place an order for new parts and they sent them to me under warranty, no cost! How good of a company is that?
