This is a RARE Original 18th century American Revolution "PAYMENT VOUCHER", from Connecticut, dated "1790" . Partly-printed/partly-handwritten on fine, laid paper. Single-sheet/one-sided (ink endorsements on back/reverse side). Size: approx. 3 1/2" by 6 1/2". Handwritten in brown ink. Nice Condition, w/a large Hole at center (a cancellation "punch" mark). This note has some Very light "foxing"/staining" + there is an old, vertical "fold-line" at center (neither of these things affecting note much at all); otherwise, o.k. Note grades aVF. ....This Early American document is dated "Jan. 9. 1790". It is a Comptroller's Office "PAYMENT VOUCHER" issued by the State of Connecticut to pay interest on the state's Revolutionary War Debt. Voucher is issued to ROBERT CRANE. for "Fourteen Shillings and three pence". Signed at lower, right-hand corner by RALPH POMEROY, Comptroller. LOW beginning bid!
