VINTAGE LARGE COCA COLA CARDBOARD SIGN BY GIL ELVGREN

THIS IS A RARE VINTAGE COCA COLA SIGN FROM THE YEAR 1954 FEATURING THE POPULAR PIN UP GIRL ON TRAPEZE BY GIL ELVGREN.
THE MODEL, POSED BY GIL ELVGREN, WHOSE IMAGE WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS SIGN APPEARS IN THE BOOK TITLED "ELVGREN HIS LIFE AND ART"
ALONG WITH THE ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS RARE SIGN IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND STILL SHOWS VERY WELL. THERE IS SOME SPOTS ON THE SIGN
THAT APPEARS TO BE SCUFF MARKS AND A SMALL HOLE IN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SIGN ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF DOG EARED CORNERS.
SEVERAL PICTURES AT DIFFERENT ANGLES HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO SHOW ANY FLAWS IN THE SIGN. THIS LARGE SIGN COMES IN A VERY HARD TO FIND
ORIGINAL COCA COLA KAY DISPLAY FRAME AND THE OVERALL MEASUREMENTS WITH THE FRAME IS 60 X 33 INCHES WITH THE CARDBOARD ITSELF
MEASURING 56 1/2 X 27 1/2 INCHES. THIS IS A DOUBLE SIDED CARDBOARD SIGN BUT THE OPPOSITE SIDE HAS BEEN COLORED ON SO IT IS NOT AS
DISPLAYABLE BUT COULD BE POSSIBLY RESTORED. I HAVE INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE BACK TO SHOW WHAT THE SIGN LOOKS LIKE. THE BOTTOM
LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE CARDBOARD READS: COPYRIGHT 1954,THE COCA COLA COMPANY LITHO IN USA BY NIAGARA LITHO COMPANY.
