Nowadays, older analog receivers & tuners in crowded signal locations are under sonic siege. and formerly clear reception is now buried under harmonic hash. The Asymmetrical Charge Coupled FM Stereo Decoder is a great addition for FM listeners plagued by noisy reception.Working in conjunction with a separate FM tuner, the Carver TX1-11 sonically alters the signal from the tuner and provides a richness and warmth not heard in the original tuners.
 
“What distinguishes the TX1-11 is its ability to pull clean, noise-free sound out of weak or multi-path ridden signals that would send you lunging for the mono switch on any other tuner”, High Fidelity noted in their January 1983 review.
