RARE 1920's GYRO MAGNETIC TIN SPINNING TOP Germany, BOX

This is a really nice and quite RARE vintage "Gyros" spinning top as noted on the original box and instructions. This example has wonderful box graphics and a great design as it is intended to spin around various diecut tin shapes. The magnetic tip on the top allows for this and this top works well. This example measures approx. 2 inches across and it is in nice condition especially considering it's age. The tin portions still retain much of their original luster and the black painted top still appears in a glossy black but it also has some flat black painted portions? There are FOUR different tin shapes that the top is intended to spin around and the duck has the slightest surface rust. The balance of the shapes are straight, flat, nice and clean.

The box has really nice graphics and it is a dark blue and light orange combination. There are a few spots of water stain on the lid but neither the top or bottom have split corners, tears or other damage noted. The box bottom is rubber stamped "Made in Germany". The instructions "Directions for Use" are in the very bottom of the box and have been removed for benefit of the picture. These instructions note "...the top-wheel is made to dance in the well known way ......the figures will be moved according to their outlines...". It is certainly possible that there are other tin piece / shapes that are missing but this toy appears complete and it is offered as found with a number of 1930's toys personal effects in a local estate.
