They sound good but not better than factory, they make great factory replacement. Can't beat it or complain for the price. Installation was easy since they fit right were the factory speaker were with no modifications, even the factory covers went back in place. The Pyle covers are an option, but they would require some modification to the car. These were installed on a 1998 Ford ranger on all four sides, I also have an upgraded double din touch screen head unit.

I bought a pair less than a year ago to use with the factory radio in my car and one of the speakers failed completely. I had the choice of taking the car apart and replacing both of them with a different brand but the thought of that was more work than I wanted so I ordered another pair out of laziness. In hind site I should have ordered a better quality of speaker.

I needed to replace my OEM speakers I had in my SUV and I was a bit skeptical about buying the Pyle PL573BL 3-Way 5" x 7" Car Speakers but as soon as I got them installed in my bronco II they sound pretty great for a cheaply priced pair of speakers. Not sure if it can actually handle 300watts of power like it says but with the volume on high, it still sounds good. I dislike how the speakers distort a little when high bass is applied via EQ, but I feel that it is the head unit being old.

Bought these speakers to upgrade from the OEM units in the rear of my Ford Escort wagon. I replaced the stock Ford radio with a unit claiming 16 watts per channel. It seems to have plenty of power for these speakers. These have much bigger magnets than the wimpy stock speakers, plus the extra tweeters for the high frequencies. The plastic cone and rubber surround looks like it will be real durable. The sound is way better than it was before. Adequate bass and plenty of volume. Even the high frequencies come through pretty well. Mounting was a little tricky. These have a plastic spacer thicker than stock. I should have had some sort of resilient foam gasket under them and some longer screws but didn't. It seemed to work out pretty well anyways. I made sure they were wired correctly for polarity by using a 1-1/2 volt battery across the speaker terminals and noting which way the cone pushed. Keep it the same way as the stock units so everything will be phased correctly. For the reasonable price of these Pyles, I'm happy with them. Can't wait to get the round Pyles I bought for the front doors installed, too!Read full review
I was looking for speakers for the kick panels of my 94 Mustang since the stock ones were shot. I did not have a lot of money and could not get the speakers that some guys recommended to me so I happened upon these Pyle speakers. They were inexpensive so that caught my attention, but then I worried about the performance since they were so inexpensive. However, they were great and have served me well so far. Thanks Pyle!!!
