This auction is for a lavish private dinner party for 40 people at Mission Chinese Food's new location in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The party will be hosted by chef Danny Bowien and will include one or more large format off-menu items along the lines of whole fish/seafood, primal cuts or salt-baked fowl, as well as favorites from the menu, and will include an array of specialty cocktails and gratuity.
Disclaimer: the restaurant is not open yet and is scheduled to open during the month of May. The restaurant will not be able to accommodate the party until two months after the restaurant opens to the public. The dinner party may only be scheduled for a night when the restaurant is closed, likely to be a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The food pictured may or may not be the actual food served during the dinner party. * * * Mission Chinese Food is a restaurant in San Francisco that has been named by Bon Appetit and GQ as one of the 10 best new restaurants in America, 2011. Mission Chinese Food also donates $0.75 from each entrée to the San Francisco Food Bank, and has raised $121,178 for those in need, since opening in 2010. Any amount bid above $4000.00 will be donated to the Bowery Mission, less applicable fees. |
