Screech is a one-of-a-kind folk art doll made in celebration of Halloween. She is made of quilter's muslin, firmly stuffed, and handpainted with quality artist's acrylics. Lots of sanding and shading has gone into her making...she has been matte sealed to protect her special look. Screech's eyes, beak and feet are sculpted of paper clay. She has seperately stitched eyelids.
Screech has little handquilted wings, attached with vintage buttons, so you can gently move them. The little witch's hat she is wearing is not permanently attached, only held in place with several pins...so it may easily be removed.
Screech the Owl sits on a river birch branch. Her perch has been given branches made of primitive rusty wire, and little beads for leaves. Several pretty paper flowers decorate her perch. The wooden base Screech is attached to has been handpainted and varnished, the bottom is covered with grey wool suiting.
This sweet little owl measures 16 inches tall to the top of her hat. Her perch measures 11.5 inches in length. As with all of my dolls, her little 'bottom' has been signed and dated.
