Our goal is to earn a 100% perfect FIVE STAR rating from you. The DSR (star rating system) and the reality is that any rating lower than 5 on the eBay feedback star's can have a significant negative impact on Cheap Skates as a seller or any other seller on eBay that you are rating. Because eBay has structured the system to reward sellers with over a 4.6 average in each 30 day segment, and to penalize sellers with under a 4.6 average.
Yet from the wording of the allowed ratings that ebay has put into place, a buyer would never know this and most would naturally assume that a 4 star rating is a very good rating. Shipping and handling charges are stated in all of Cheap Skates Online ads. Since you as a buyer are aware of the shipping and handling charges before purchasing the item, the most important points to consider when leaving a star rating for shipping charges are NOT those charges as you have already agreed to them, but the following:
Quote the shipping/handling price in the original auction/store listing and that is what you were charged?
If your answer is yes OR you received "FREE" Shipping, then please choose the 5 on the star rating for the shipping and handling charges section.
The most important consideration for the Shipping Time star is when the item was actually shipped, not when the item was delivered. Cheap Skates has no control over how many days the package takes to deliver to your home/place of business. This is particularly true for International orders, which are often delayed by customs or postal inspectors. You can easily assess when the package was shipped by the postmark or other similar date marking, and rate Cheap Skates based on this date, not the overall delivery date. If you require your item be expedited, please contact us before sending payment.
Cheap Skates is dedicated to making sure that you know that your item has shipped. We send an email to let you know your item is on its way to your door. In that email, you will find the carrier name and the delivery/tracking confirmation number with the USPS or UPS link. Please check your bulk folder. Often that email slips into your junk mail or bulk mail folder.

US Shipments outside of the continental US (including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and any other US holdings & territories), must ship United States Postal Service. Also, if free shipping is in the description, that includes the original 48 continental United States.
Free shipping- In regards to free shipping, the majority of times we will ship Priority Mail, but in the instance that Parcel Post is significantly less. We reserve the right to ship via Parcel Post.
International Shipping Methods:
USPS : 10-21 days
International buyers are responsible for any/all duties/taxes. Please don't ask us to be dishonest on a custom's form. If you have purchased an item from us, we can not mark it as a "gift".
When possible, we will combine shipping charges if you purchase more than one item within a 48 hour period. In order for us to combine shipping, you must make ONE (1) payment for all auctions. We ship almost all packages with a tracking number. You will receive an email with a tracking number usually the day before we actually ship. Please allow at least 36 hours for the item to start tracking online.

Most orders are subject to a minimum two (2) to five (5) business day processing time. If your items are readily available, we may be able to process your order in one (1) to three (3) business days of receiving your cleared payment. Occasionally, orders may take more than five business days to process. If we will need more than three (3) to five (5) business days, we try to keep you updated by email of your order status. Orders begin processing each business day at 4:00pm EST. If your payment is received before 2:00pm EST, the next business day will be your first processing day. Please note that order processing time is in addition to the shipping transit time selected during your checkout. Order Processing/Transit days are Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Upgrading your shipping only shortens your Transit time, and your order is still subject to a minimum of 2-5 business days for processing.
Occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, merchandise may not be available for 30 +/- days from the date of purchase. If we know of a delay in the processing of your shipment, we will contact you as soon as possible. This may be before the auction ends, shortly after, or within a few days after we receive your order information. If you are not willing to wait for the merchandise, please let us know, we will gladly and promptly refund your payment as quickly as possible. By bidding, you agree to this possibility. If you do not agree, please do not bid. We want you to have your item! If your shipment is delayed for more than a few days, or is back-ordered, we are as upset as you are.
