DOLBY DIGITAL PRO LOGIC II
AM FM RECEIVER
The Pioneer XV-DVR9H system makes this transition as painless as possible, as it combines almost every device you could need into a single, slim unit that still manages to offer full receiver support. Of course, all these functions add to the price, but if you're still running just an ordinary VHS player, or perhaps just VHS and DVD players, the XV-DVR9H offers a great, multifunction package to bring you up to date with the latest technology.
It also has all the inputs and outputs you expect from a top-of-the-line home theatre system--including digital audio, component, composite, S-Video and RGB--which ensures you can connect any kind of device with any kind of cable you want. This is a very important factor to consider when buying a home theatre system, as a good system will centralise control of all your devices in a single box.
Advanced Disc Navigator
and animated thumbnail
DVD and hard disk recording offer the extra convenience of virtually immediate access to a desired program without waiting for fastforward or rewind. And to make this even more convenient, system XV-DVR9H features Advanced Disc Navigator which shows you a list of program titles on the loaded DVD or hard disk. When you select a title with the cursor an animated thumbnail is displayed with
audio, making it quick and easy to recognize program contents.
and recording/Chase Play
Pioneer’s simultaneous playback and recording lets you watch a program recorded on a DVD-RW* even as you record another program onto the same disc. In addition, the Chase Play function allows you to watch a program you are currently recording from the beginning, without halting the recording. These functions are also available with the hard disk, and you can even watch a program recorded on the hard disk while you record a different program on a
DVD-R/DVD-RW or the other way round.
Just the touch of a single button is all it takes to copy a
program recorded on hard disk to a DVD-R/DVD-RW
disc or the other way round*. Simply press the button
during playback and high-speed copying begins from
the start of the program
AUTO mode recording
AUTO recording mode gives you optimum recorded picture quality with no further effort on your part. For hard disk recording, this function ensures the recorded program can be transferred to a 4.7GB DVD with optimal picture quality. With direct recording to DVD AUTO function adjusts picture quality to give the best results that will fit on the disc’s blank space
DVD recorder with high-speed 48x recording from hard disk
Enjoy the ultimate in high-speed recording convenience. Ultra-fast 48x* recording from hard disk to DVD-R/DVD-RW
means you can make a copy of a one-hour program in just over one minute. And this means it's fast, easy and convenient
to archive your favorite shows, or make copies of videos to distribute to family and friends. It's especially handy when
you want to make multiple copies of videos. What's more, you can even carry out high-speed copying** from
DVD to the hard disk.
Easy, one-touch recording
The instant, one-touch recording function saves
you the trouble of searching for blank space on a
disk. Simply load the disc and the unit
automatically scans it for both recorded content
and available space for additional recording. What's more, the same
convenience is offered when recording to the hard disk, too.
Pioneer's Disc History makes it easier than ever to find which disc has space available for further recording. Accessed from the on-screen menu, Disc History shows remaining space on the last 30 discs loaded, along with disc name, the names of the first three programs and the
total number of programs recorded on the disc. Better still, Disc History automatically updates itself every time a recordable disc is loaded.
CM Skip and CM Back
It's easy to jump over commercials — simply press the CM SKIP button on the remote and you jump forward by 30 seconds. You can skip forward up to 10 minutes in 7 steps by repeatedly pressing the button. If you go too far, pressing the CM BACK button takes you back by as little as 5 seconds or as much as 180 seconds.
System XV-DVR9H lets you make back-up copies of video-moderecorded DVD-/DVD-RW discs. All program content and other information is copied with no loss of picture quality, and you can use the hard disk for recording or playback even while a disc back-up is in progress.
Edit programs quickly and easily
You can quickly and easily edit programs recorded on hard disk — for example changing program title or moving chapters around — before copying them to DVD for archiving. Frame-by-frame accuracy* assures
you of extremely precise editing.
Easy Timer Recording
Easy Timer Recording makes setting the timer easy and error-free.
Simply set start and finish times by moving the cursor across the time-grid graphic: there's no need to enter information one digit at a time. You also set channel and recording mode on the same screen for total convenience. A total of 32 programs can be preset up to a month in advance.
