This is a great little phone. It has your basic functions for everyday use. You can access the internet and check your email, facebook etc. Take pictures and use it as a GPS. Which makes it perfect for me as I do not live on my phone! I find it easy to use with easy instructions if you get stuck. It also charges quickly. This will be my second Samsung Seek as it is NOT WATERPROOF! LOL. Something they could work on in the near future! I also think they could have improved the camera. It's about med. grade and you really have to have a steady arm. But I have to say I am surprised at some of the pic's I have got out of it, not bad. Great little phone for the price and functions that come with it.
I love everything about this phone....except the battery life. After 8 hours of light to moderate use the battery is completly drained. I think maybe since Virgin Mobile uses a......shall I say "stripped down" version of the phone the battery life is another place where they "cut corners". After a few reviews from online forums and verbal reviews from Sprint Samsung Intercept Owners it seems that the battery life isn't great either but it lasts longer than my Virgin Mobile version. But Virgin Mobile cannot be beat where it really matters....the service price. I love the $40 monthly no contract plan (1200 mins and unlimited data. I switch between the $60 no contract plan (unlimited minutes and unlimited data) and $40 monthly no contract plans as needed. If needed I can also drop down to a $25 no contract plan or I can simply add minutes for a Pay-As-You-Go rate. I will never be stuck in a 2 year contract ever again.Oh yea...and if I ever want to upgrade to the new LG Optimus all I have to do is buy it and swap it and I'm ready to go. Cant wait for the Android Froyo Upgrade at the end of the month. Frugals Unite....We will beat the system.Read full review
I liked the Samsung Seek since it had a Qwerty keyboard but also had a touch screen. I didn't realize how small the phone was when I bought it, but I have grown to like the size. It easily fits into my pocket. In addition, you don't have to worry about to accidentally calling someone, since the lock button is on the side of the phone. The one thing I do not like is that you can't customize the menu and I can't get rid of the "Favs" button. Overall it is a good phone, you can select how sensitive you want the touch of the touch screen to be and It is really easy to use.
I had played with a friends phone which was from another carrier, before purchasing this. I have to say, I like this one a lot better. It takes a little getting used to, a little hard to find things and to use programs that I was used to using on a standard cell phone. There is some adjustment to this format. I still cannot always find what I need in a timely manner. That is not the phones fault, it is user ignorance. Some apps take a little longer to load than I would like, I just have to remember that this is not as fast as my laptop is. All in all I am very happy with this phone. It has a large clear screen, the slide out keyboard is great for my fumbling fingers. I would not be happy with a touch screen only as I tend to get cranky about my inability to touch the exact right spot on command. Again, user error. The camera takes nice clear pictures and it is easy to post them to facebook or where ever. I like that I can download audible books right to my phone. If you are not into using all the apps and little gadgets, don't buy this phone. If you are looking into getting a great little toy and phone in one, go for it.Read full review
It's a pretty nice android phone. Has lots of nice features, nice sized responsive touch screen and colors. I especially like how the voicemail works. You get to choose what you want to listen to and easily delete them. Camera quality is really good too but functions a little slow. Sometimes the phone freezes and takes a while to start up. It happened ever since it got a really big firmware upgrade. It may also be that I have too many apps, but other than that it's a pretty good phone.
