About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

Thanks for looking!This is a complete iron set of Ping Eye 2 Beryllium Copper irons. 2 iron through Pitching Wedge. 9 clubs! These marvelous clubs do show a little wear, but still have lots of life in them! The could stand to be re-gripped. Matching serial numbers! 32998 - ALL BLUE DOT! Our consignor said they are stiff shafts. I believe this to be true, although I don't know the actual Ping factor name. It also appears that some two or three of the shafts have been replaced. One sticker shows the brand as True Temper.2 Iron - 40" in length. The grip is cracked at the base on the back. Again, I would urge you to have them all re-gripped. It's inexpensive and easy to do yourself. Please see pics of face for condition. 3 Iron - 40" in length. One nick on sole. Should be visible in picture.4 Iron - About 39", Good used condition. See pics.5 Iron - About 38.5", Nice condition. Good grooves, a couple surface blemishes. Again, see photos.6 Iron - 38" - Nice shape!7 Iron - 37.5" - A little face wear, still a nice looking club, grip is cracking and should be replaced soon. 8 Iron - 37", a little more wear present than on the longer irons, which is typical. I would still play these clubs, though. Rest assured you're bidding on a good set!9 Iron - 36.5", Some face wear and very light blemishing on sole.
