My professor is using this book for an advanced level exercise physiology class and for that level the book is inadequate. If you have any background with exercise physiology and a good understanding of it, this isn't necessarily the book for you. It explains many aspects of physiology that are not directly related to exercise physiology that basically serve as a waste of time in some ways. If you are new to the area of exercise physiology or looking for a book that simplifies some of the topics, this is the book for you. It does present it in a more simplistic format that is a lot easier to comprehend than other books that I come across. Overall if it labeled Introduction to Exercise Physiology, I would probably call it a Good to Excellent book because it covers many of the major topics, but not in an advanced way.Read full review
If you choose to buy this book, make sure you really know what you're talking about. The book does not seem to go into major detail about different topics. Luckily I have a professor that is great at explaining, so I only use the textbook as a quick reference, otherwise I would be completely lost if I just had to follow the book. Not worth the money just as reading material, but great for an added resource for a class.
The book has been very helpful for my exercise physiology class. I'm very glad that I made this purchase with all of the useful and practical information that comes in this book
great cheaper alternative to newer editions. I chose this product to get a head start in my ex phys class but did not want to spend the money to get the newest edition just in case the professor changes books.
This book was in excellent condition! My main concern was whether or not I would be able to use the one-time use code for the website study guide to the book.. it works! Great product.
