Philco 40-217 Tube Radio with a 'Mystery Box' controller. 
This radio had been in my great-aunts house for over 70 years and has just recently moved it to the garage.  The Console stands 36-1/2" high and is 35" wide by 14" deep. There are a few nicks in the front of the radio box but for the most part the radio appears to be in very good condition for being 72 years old. We were able to turn the radio on but we have not tried to tune the radio or try the 'Mystery Box' controller.  It has 4 Bands (Remote, Police, Broadcast, Shortwave). 
The tubes appear to have been replaced at some point. It will include the original manuels and paperwork from 1940.
This is a pick-up only item. I will be in Philadelphia but the radio will be in my Great-Aunts garage in

BUFFALO NY.
