About Peter Q. Bohlin

Peter Q. Bohlin is an American architect and winner of the 2010 Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects  and a founding principal of Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, established in 1965 as Bohlin Powell.
Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has received more than 510 regional, national and international awards for design. In 1994, the practice received the Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects. The firm’s work is published regularly in professional journals worldwide.

Architecture for Humanity lends time and expertise to help those who cannot otherwise afford these services. Each year 25,000 people directly benefit from structures designed by Architecture for Humanity, and to date the organization has built community centers, schools and housing for communities in 22 countries, including rebuilding in Japan and Haiti. Many of our projects can be viewed in detail on our partner site at Open Architecture Network.

From conception to completion, we manage all aspects of the design and construction process with the expertise of our Design Fellows, young and emerging architects who join us to give their full time to one or more of our projects.
