Great product that prints labels at a good rate, easy set up, easy to use and easy to reload the labels in machine.

Bought this because I was considering a new Dymo 400, because I broke the little lever off used to lift the roller up when you install a new roll of labels (still works though). I looked at the Dymo LabelWriter web site and noticed that Dymo had replaced the 400 with a new 450. The 450 had terrible reviews on the Dymo website. I thought oh-oh, wonder it I could still get a new Dymo 400, as my 400 works great, no jams or anything. I looked at office supply retailers and none of them had the 400 in stock anymore. So I turned to ebay, and sure enough there was a new one available for a good price; so I snagged it. The only negative I can say about the Dymo 400 is the software isn't very good. It's inflexible, and the interface is very PC like; clunky and not very pleasant to look at. It has improved though.Read full review
This label printer works great and is very handy and useful. The labels I purchased to go with it don't print very dark, but I may just need a better brand of labels. The machine works very well and I love it.

I purchased this label printer because it was a cheaper alternative to the newer and more expensive 450 series and it seemed like it would do everything I needed it to. They also have a good reputation and my experience with them has always been good. The used unit I purchased came with everything, so installing was simple. The Dymo software is available and is a snap to install, allowing instant use of the label printer. The labels themselves are easy to install and feed with no issue. A good feature is the 'eject' button on the inside, which 'rewinds' the labels so you can load up a new roll or switch labels. Along with drivers, the Dymo software also functions as a label editor. Upon printing, I noticed that the printer is by no means 'slow'. It is very fast and spits out multiple labels like nothing. The text and images are sharp and dark--all settings that can be adjusted. Another great feature is that it installs itself as a standard printer that can be accessed by other label-making programs and even shared--letting you install the printer over a network on many machines! Overall, this is an excellent buy for someone that needs an affordable, feature-rich, general purpose thermal label printer.Read full review
Once this product is set up it is super easy to use. I had to have a computer savvy person set it up for me because the printer was not compatible with the newer updates on my computer. I do like this product and it is the first thermal printer I have ever used so I don't have much to go from. However, I do like the printer and once the printer is set up its an easy day. It had to be updated first. After the update it had to be adjusted through eBay on the proper settings in order to print labels the correct size which took patience. I am somewhat knowledgable of computers and had it not have been for my husband being an IT guy it would have taken me doing a ton of research online to figure out how to set it up. I hope this helps anyone who is considering this printer. It is a good one once the enitial set up is over and it works great.Read full review
