The Parallel Edge Center Shafted Mallet putter has a 2 wings to aid in alignment to sight down your intended line. The Edge is a great putter for all playing levels. The Edge is 3.5" across the face and 3.5 inches front to back and weights in at 10.7 ozs. or 300g. It only comes Right handed. I am a club maker who will custom make this putter for you. Custom Made means it is not off-the-rack from a sporting Goods Store or Pro Shop but is built to your specifications. In the store putters usually start at around $110.00 and go up from there while this Putter is less than half the price. It can be built as a Long Putter , Belly Putter, Breast Bone Putter or Side Saddle Putter. Buyer picks the putter Length to suit his or her Putting Stroke or "in other words", WHAT FEELS GOOD TO THE USER. All of my putters have a 2 piece black putter grip. (SEE HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR PUTTER BELOW)
The role of the Long , Belly, Breast Bone or Side Saddle Putters are to minimize the movement of the wrists in the putting stroke by anchoring the putter to a fixed center being one of the 4 styles mentioned. Here is how to measure the length and grip positions for the 4 styles: 1. The top of a Long Putter should end about at the height of the logo on your golf shirt or against your sternum, so, for a 6' tall person that could be 49 to 51 inches. when you're in a upright putting stance and the sole of the putter is resting flat on the ground. However, each person has a different arm length and upper body length and some are straight upright where others are slightly bend over. I recommend taking a broom handle or pole which is about 50 to 52 inches long and use that to get the distance which feels best for you. 2. The Mid-length or Belly Putter is a less-dramatic alternative to the long putter. Most mid-putters have an extra 5 to 10 inches of shaft length to a standard length putter. Use the same criteria as you would for a regular putter, but make sure the one you choose is the right length. The butt end of a mid-length putter should rest about two inches above your belly button when you're in your putting stance. 3. I personnaly use what I call the Breast Bone Putter. The butt end of the putter rests in the “V” created by the bottom of your breast bone and it makes it easy to always rest the putter in the same place every time you putt. The length of the putter is usually about 3 to 5 inches longer than a Belly putter . In all cases use a broom stick or some other wooden rod to get the best length for you. 4. The Side Saddle Putter has a little different way to measure length and grip position. Take some golf balls to a practice green and toss them underhand, one at a time, at one of the holes trying to get as close a possible to putting them in the hole. Do this until you find the most comfortable and natural stance and swing of the tossing arm. Have someone measure your hand distance to the ground at the bottom of your toss (This is the distance to the center of the mid grip on the putter). Now while in this position bend the elbow of your other arm across your body so it is at right angle to your upper arm, make a fist and turn your wrist so your knuckles are facing the hole and have someone measure the distance from your thumb to the ground (this is the length of your putter). Double check these 2 distances by using a broomstick or some other wooden rod to make sure of the most comfortable position and lengths for your putter has been found.
Buyer must email the length he or she wants after the auction is over. If you have any other questions on what length is best for you email your question to me and I can help to design the putter to fit you. The Long , Belly, Breast Bone and Side Saddle Putters are the wave of the future due to : 1. The way they are held takes the wrist action out of the putter swing (which is one of the bigest problems with proper putting . and 2. The pendulum swing that must be used to properly swing these putters helps to keep the putting stroke on line.
Buyer pays S&H Plus Insurance of $1.75. RETURN POLICY: If you wish to return the putter (at your expense) and the putter has not been damaged and is in like new condition. Email me within 15 days of the date of purchase of your desire to return the putter. I will give you my address for the immediate return of the putter (receipt by me within 15 days) I will refund your sales price which will be less actual Shipping and handling charges . THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK |
