Store Categories | You are looking at a Mint factory refurbished Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH27 digital camera that has been professionally converted to a fully Infrared camera by Kolari Vision. The Hot Mirror, which blocks Infrared light, has been removed, and was replaced with a 720nm Infrared pass filter, which only lets Infrared pass. This means there is no need to hassle with a tripod and a long exposure time. Hand held infrared pictures can be taken without the need for a tripod or bright sunlight! Camera is also available with a full spectrum filter or other infrared filter. Camera is also available with an 800nm or full spectrum filter. 800nm will produce better B&W pictures but no color. Full spectrum is sensitive to UV, visible, and IR light and can be used with an external filter for handheld IR or for astrophotography. The FH27 is a great little camera and offers true custom white balance. With powerful white balance, vivid color infrared pictures are able to be captured with ease. Perfect for a first time IR camera. Looking for more manual options? Check out our other Lumix camera, the ZS8. The camera focuses great, even on close shots. Even though it is a point and shoot, this little camera takes amazing IR pictures. With a little postwork performed, the camera can be used for great false color. Black and white IR photos can also be achieved directly in camera. This is the upgrade from our previous bestseller, the FH20, which sold over 200 cameras. With 16.1 MP this camera lets you take very detailed pictures and allows for prints up to 16x20" in flawless quality. With 8x zoom the lens gives you a powerful zoom making composition easy. The lens also features a 28mm focal distance for great wide angle shots. With a large 3 inch Live view LCD composing images directly in IR is very easy! Optical image stabilization and HD videos with up the 30FPS add to the list of great features in this camera. Features a touch screen for easy access to menus and white balance. Camera also comes with a tutorial CD for basic IR false color techniques as well as a photoshop action to automate adding false colors. The camera is listed as refurbished, it has been taken out of the box for the conversion process, but is still in mint like-new condition. For US shipping, we use USPS Priority mail.
