I'm a semi-pro photographer who also owns a Canon 7D - one of the better APS-C cameras, even though it's been around a while and I love the GX7! The LCD is bright and sharp, the EVF is outstanding (if a little hard to see in bright sun with glasses) and the image quality is stunning. I like the larger size of the GX7 compared to the GX1 (which I also own). It's still small, but easier to hang on to. The number of features and ability to customize the controls are amazing. In-body image stabilization is new to Panny m43 cameras and it was a big selling point for me. With the GX7 I feel like I have a camera whose image quality - sharpness, dynamic range, color, focusing - is as good as or better in some respects than my Canon 7D. I just compared an image shot with the GX7 at ISO 200 and the Lumix 20mm f1.7 to a portrait shot with a Nikon D700 FULL FRAME camera and Nikkor pro f2.8 zoom. The GX7 image blew it away in terms of detail and resolution. At the highest ISOs (6400 and above) my Canon 7D I think still has less noise, but I'll shoot at 6400 with the GX7 and get useable images with some post processing. How much better could one need? A full frame camera will certainly beat the GX7 at higher ISOs, but I'd put it up against any APS-C sensor camera for overall image quality, especially when used with one of the many excellent m43 primes that are available. The Panasonic 14-42 version II kit lens has a much better zoom action than the version I lens - no stickiness - and it's also more compact and quite sharp. I'm a convert to m43 for most of what I shoot, now. APS-C cameras, with their big bulky lenses, are seeming to make less and less sense to me. Bigger is not necessarily better any more.Read full review
High quality photos, everything about the camera is fast. Great kit lens. Have had it 2 years, never let me down. Great video quality, even in low lite. The EVF is great, tilts for low level shots, LCD tilts and has great resolution. Get an extra battery, as the power is used up more quickly than it should be. Great for travel, quick shots of fast moving kids

I'm still struggling to learn about my GX7; that's why I rated it as 4 out of 5. Once I get comfortable and competent in using it, I'm likely to rate it 5 out of 5. So far, I'm liking it a lot.
