These sliders are made of aircraft quality 6061 billet aluminum. They are manufactured to precise tolerances using Computer Aided Machining, and then Micro polished to a smooth mirror finish. Each slider measures approximately 3" long (not including the stem), and 1-3/4" in diameter, and the bolt is 10mm.
Compatibility:
This set of sliders will fit on a 05-06 gsxr 1000 sportbike. I am told that these sliders will also fit the 07-08 gsxr 1000, but the cutaway notch is not necessary for those years. This kit bolts right on, with NO fairing modifications necessary. These sliders bolt into the upper engine mount, replacing the existing bolts.
Installation Instructions: Find the engine mount locations where the sliders fit. They are made for a specific location. They will only fit in one place, and in one orientation. Remove one engine mount bolt, and replace with the slider and included bolt. Remove the other engine mount bolt, and replace with the other silder and included bolt. The torque on the slider bolts should not exceed 20-25 foot-pounds, with locktite on the threads.
