4 - Optional Accessories

For vehicles with TPMS sensors equipped you can re-use your existing OEM sensors but will require removal from your existing wheels, and installation into the new wheel and tire package received (separate installation required, not included). If you wish to retain your existing wheel, tire and sensor assembly, you may purchase new sensors from us which will come pre-installed in your new wheel and tire package. Wheels are ready to bolt on when you receive them!

Mounting hardware (lug nuts, locks, spacers etc.) are NOT included with the purchase price of this ebay item.
The lug nuts that are currently on your vehicle may not fit these wheels. Please double check with your sales associate if you require any additional hardware for your specific make / model / year of vehicle.

5 - Mounting and Balancing
|
All of our tire and wheel packages come standard with premium installation at no additional charge.

We use the Hunter TCX550 Tire Changer when installing the tires onto your wheels. This piece of equipment is designed to handle wheels as large as 30 inches in diameter, as well as low profile tires with ease. Many tire shops use machines that max out at only 20 inches, but will still attempt the installation! The TCX550 also uses a "No-Touch" mounting head, meaning that as the tire is being installed to the wheel it never touches the facial portion. This feature protects the decorative surface and finish from being damaged by the tire.
Nitrogen Tire inflation purges 99% of the oxygen from the tire, replacing it with Nitrogen. Nitrogen carries no moisture, which extends the life of both the tire and wheel by preventing oxydation. Nitrogen is also a larger and more stable molecule than Oxygen, and dissipates through the tire at a much lower rate. There is a reason the Military, NASA and NASCAR use Nitrogen tire inflation!
We use the Hunter GPS9700 Road-Force Tire Balancer when balancing your wheel and tire package. The exclusive Road Force Measurement system applies up to 1,400 pounds (635 kg) against the tire. The loaded roller detects non-balance, radial-force-related vibrations caused by eccentricity and constructional variation of the tire and wheel. Unlike non-contact measurement, the roller samples the entire footprint of the tire including the sidewall’s contribution to ride quality.

All shipments are fully insured, using our custom boxing techniques to ensure your wheels arrive to you in good condition.
You may find that you can get a lesser shipping rate from another seller here on eBay. Very often corners are cut when it comes to shipping your products. Many companies will under insure their products, if at all, making lost or damage claims impossible. Worse than that is the lack of proper shipping materials. We have gone to great lengths to develop shipping cartons and foam injected moulding techniques which are virtually bullet proof and have a proven track record of arriving to you, the customer, undamaged and ready to be installed.

10 - Installation Services Available
|
One of the benefits CPW offers is the availability to install tire and wheel packages at your location or at our Santa Clarita location (Please check with sales rep for applicable fees). Auto manufacturers factory technicians have trained our personnel enabling us to perform installations on just about any vehicle. From knowing where to jack the vehicle up, to the correct torque specs, we have the experience to ensure there will be no damage to the wheels or your vehicle during dismounting and remounting of the new wheels.
 We offer mobile installation and delivery services from one of our state of the art radio-dispatched service vehicles. These vehicles are fully equipped with the industry's best wheel and tire equipment. Tire and wheel packages re professionally mounted and road-force balanced on our state of the art Hunter equipment.
Leasing companies, studio lots, and specialty manufactures, these services are also be available to you. Please contact us for more details.
 Unfortunately most tire shop personnel are inexperienced and unqualified to install specialty wheels. They might scratch, or even peel the finish of the new wheels during the installation. Damages such as these, are not covered under warranty. Don't leave your investment with the unqualified.

11 - Things to Think About
|
|
When changing to an upgrade package from the original equipment setup the tire and wheel brand and/or sizing, can effect the ride quality. This change is always a compromise and there are advantages and disadvantages to every upgrade package. The benefits of a larger/wider/lower profile setup are:
- Enhanced Appearance (Custom finish)
- Quicker Steering Response (Lower profile tires)
- Larger Contact Patch (Wider or larger tires)
- More Stability (Wider tires)
You may experience a firmer ride due to an upgrade with lower profile tires. Wider tires and wheels can also effect steering geometry which may result in slight vibration dynamics at certain speeds. Lower profile performance tires by design use a softer compound to achieve additional adhesion which usually shortens tread life. Also the design of the upgraded wheel may or may not lend itself to providing space for the balancing wheel weights that the previous wheel may have allowed for. For example, some original equipment wheels accept wheel weights on the outside lip of the wheels. For cosmetic reasons the weights on upgrade packages are almost always installed on the inside barrel so they do not show.
While the disadvantages are not safety matters these conditions must be considered before purchasing an upgrade.
In conclusion, whether you are purchasing a custom finish to your stock wheels, or going full blown to a +4, lower profile, exotic wheel and tire package, consider the compromises involved.
