About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

So... What is a “Balanced & Blueprinted Club?”

 

1)  I start by checking the lie and loft, because if they are to far off, it might effect on the swing weight if I have to bend them after they are done.

2)  I pull the shaft out and clean the hosel & check the depth of the hosel to make sure they are consistent to receive the shaft.

3)  I Prep all the shaft tips and put the shafts in the spine finder and mark them.

4)  Measure the shaft on the measuring board to make sure the length is exactly at 1/2" increments, with the exception of the PW which is ¼” 

5)  Weight sort the grips to make sure all 8 grips are the same weight

6)  Install the grips and make sure they line up straight and consistently stretch (on cord is critical for sizing).

7)  Installed ferrules, swing weight them and mark for lead plug adjustment.

8)  Install a lead plug and swing weight them to make sure it's within MY acceptable tolerance of 1/4 - 1/2 of a point in most cases.

Mix the professional epoxy (cure rate 24 hours) and glue them making sure the spine position is in the correct spot and make sure they have the same amount of glue to maintain a consistent swing weight.

9)            Let the glue dry at least 24 hrs.

10)   Turn the ferrules and shine them up w/acetone. Double check the loft and lie. A final cleaning & DONE!

 

Each club is hand built using the ten step process above.

This ensures your clubs will get the best matched specs and they will play more consistently club to club

***Please note: in most cases... the old shaft bands/graphics do not line up perpendicular with the clubhead after we spine alined them, if we have the correct shaft band we will replace them, also do to sand blasting and or polishing in some cases the serial number may get removed… we try our best not to have this happen but occasionally it does***
