I have hundreds of putters, including dozens of different styles of Ping putters. But I bought this one not for my collection, but to actually use (100 rounds per year). I am a right-handed golfer with a dominant left eye. The vast majority of golfers are dominant with their back eye at address, and that is why nearly all putters have an offset shaft or hosel. It allows their rear eye to sight the line better. The science of optics with brain interaction says that with offset putters a front eye dominant golfer will tend to miss putts to the left. It is just part of the aiming and angle situation transferring data to the brain. To help with this known scientific phenomena, a left-eye dominant golfer should make three putter adjustments: 1. Use a rounded putter rather than a shapely-defined blade style. A gentle mallet rather than sharp. narrow edges. 2. Use a zero offset putter. If possible, consider an onset putter, with the clubface in front of the shaft. 3. Use minimal sighting alignment aids; do not have a "busy" design of the clubhead with fins, spider legs, weird aiming devices (circles, squares, wild colors). As you can see the Grayhawk is a mallet style; its shaft enters the clubhead BEHIND the clubface and does not protrude in front of the actual clubface; and the single sight line is plain white on a subdued black clubhead. I have found it very easy to align correctly, particularly on 4' putts. The aluminum True Roll face actually works; I have tested several competing technologies and Ping got the True Roll technology correct. (Be careful not to damage or clog the grooves when they get grass or sand stuck in them.) The TR Shea, TR Piper C, and TR B60 are similar putters with the proper design. (You can cut off the plumber's neck, insert a steel shaft over the stub, and then bend the shaft to the proper lie angle and produce a zero offset Shea or B60.) I use the B60 with zero offset because I can use it off the putting green; it tracks through the higher grass a little better than the larger clubhead of the Grayhawk. But for working on alignment, the Grayhawk is better than any of the other three putters listed. Among other excellent "front eye dominant" putters, the Ping Darby and several other "Rossi" type of designs are good, ..... IF they have had the offset turned into zero offset or actual inset. the Bobby Grace Sarasota and Lakewood DCT (Distance Correcting Technology) designs are excellent, too. They are not produced anymore. My second putter is the Sarasota mini-mallet, but I would be satisfied with any of the designs explained in this review. As Jordan Spieth says, "Aim small, miss small," meaning a precise aim allows you to still make putts even if you mishit them "small."Read full review

What a great design, nice long line to align putt. Weight is consistent with other Ping putters, even has that nice "ping" sound when striking the ball. Now if I could just learn green speeds and breaks.

I've been a Bobby Grace guy for many years. This PING putter has all the feel of my Grace and the stability of PING. This putter is as solid as my S55 PING irons :-)!

I have been having a blast with this new putter, dialed it in and now I am making more than missing my puts!
