This handbook is very useful to anyone wishing to play a psionicist in 2nd ed. AD&D. Though the system by which psionic powers are manifested was revised later this is the largest compendium of powers which either are not changed or changed very slightly. I believe it to be a good book and a good purchase for anyone looking to add psychic elements to their Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game. Though to get the updated rules on power manifestation you should purchase the book Players Option: Skills and Powers.
a wealth of great game information that can be useful to nay player or dm. the major drawback is that the system is more complex than it needs to be resulting in the game being slowed down while consulting multiple charts at times for 1 action. this is not so much of a problem once you get used to the system but can be easily streamlined by the addition of house rules to simplify the use of psionics. overall a great reference but hamstrung by tsr's usual streamlining not being present. overall a great addition to any game and worth the time and money despite the glaring faults usually lacking from tsr.
The definitive guide to everything mental in AD&D 2nd Edition. Character types available for using the powers of mental acquity, that unseen force of power untapped by the average joe. Insights into how they work, new approaches for Dungeon Masters who need new ways of killing off the enemy "The players". Some insight into monsters and otherworldly creatures that have this power too, including how they make the most of it. A must read for the aspiring DM who wants to really spice things up.
