PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AND VIEW PHOTOS CLOSELY BEFORE BIDDING:
Up for auction is an immense 19" long tin clockwork wind up powered 1930 Bugatti Type 35 B race car. The original model was first made in 1930 by the well known tinplate toy maker Paya, in Alicante Spain. This beautiful open wheel racer is a very limited edition re-issue made in 1989. It is numbered #690 out of only 1000 pieces. The toy was made by the original Paya Hermanos factory using the same tools and molds as those used in the original manufacturing. Do not confuse this giant racer with the small and cheap Chinese version so often seen on eBay. This is a very large and hard to find Paya factory tribute model. The stunning example shown here is in original never displayed or played with mint condition with all parts intact including stamped, numbered registration card, wind up key and colorful box. The rich deep red paint finish has a lustrous glow with no dents or dings or scratches. Chrome grill shines brilliantly. Spoked wheels and real louvered hood add to the many outstanding features of the car. Colorful interior has a tin litho driver complete with helmet and racing style boots. He still retains the original factory hang tag. Satin black chassis is pristine with no wear at all. Clockwork wind up motor works perfectly, but it is of the type that has to be set on the floor to engage gears. If car is hand held and desire is to run motor, right side drive wheel can be raised to engage gears. Factory key is still stapled in it's original bag. Original factory box has beautiful paper litho graphics. It is crisp and clean, complete with protective cardboard inserts. As an added bonus, both unused registration and numbered authenticity cards are included. I can't say enough about this gorgeous piece. New owner will certainly not be disappointed. It is a magnificent tinplate toy race car and a must have for any discriminating collector. A truly desirable piece, made even better with a low, low starting bid and no reserve.......as always.
Last photo shows the Bugatti along side the Paya Packard for size comparison. The Packard is not included but is available on another auction I currently have running.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:
Toy is described to the best of my knowledge and ability. I take many photos from various angles, and all have super size ability. Unless noted, these photos will clearly show the true condition of item. Photos are of actual item being auctioned. I recommend each potential bidder view the photos closely. Item is being sold as is so please ask any questions before auction ends and I will be happy to help you.
Your item will be securely packaged for a safe journey, but protective shipping coverage is offered and strongly recommended as I accept no responsibility for item once it is mailed. Delivery confirmation is included on every domestic shipment to insure the package arrives at it's destination. For international shipments both priority and first class postage are available. Shipping charges are fixed as is shipping method. A slight handling charge is built in to cover shipping room costs and help. I do not skimp on packing. I am a collector as well as a dealer, and many times have been chagrined to open a box and find a rare vintage toy broken en route. Not due to postal misuse, but by poor and insensitive wrapping. You will not receive toys packed like this from me. All my items are thoughtfully and carefully packed as though I would be mailing them to myself. Prices are set by size and weight. USPS Priority Mail dimensional weight rates will now apply for certain large packages shipped to select zones within the U.S. Priority Mail can be very expensive with an oversize package, as many of my toys require, therefore for those larger items I use Parcel Post which is just as safe and almost as fast. If you have a concern over cost, or prefer a different method of shipping, please let me know and I will be glad to work with you. Please email any concerns before leaving feedback, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Items won are mailed no later the day after payment is made unless of postal holiday or some unforeseen circumstance prevent shipment.
Thanks for looking!
