Up for a sale is an original 1950's /1960's large model of the P&O Orient Lines cruise ship Oronsay.  This model was used to promote the ship at travel fairs and at a travel agency decades ago.  Please note that this model is big.  The blue base upon which the model sits measures 8.5 by 46 inches.  This item is in used condition and is made of wood.  Of the eigteen life boats that originally came with the ship, one is missing.  This model requires restoration.  Please see pictures for details and ask all questions that you may have before bidding.  If anyone would like to see more photos of the model, please contact me.

Given the size of this model ship,  I'd prefer the winning bidder pick the item up at my home here in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.    Local pick up is FREE!!!

Shipping is available world wide.  PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE BIDDING IF SHIPPING IS REQUIRED.

1.) This model will require a custom made crate for shipping which will cost money for material and my time to make.  This will cost the buyer $150.00 in addition to the winning bid amount if you cannot pick it up.    (I will do my best to safely secure this item for shipment.)

Please note:  If the winning bidder knows of a shipping company (within a 2 hour drive of  Port Hope, Ontario) that can build a crate for less money than what I will charge,  I'll be happy to deliver it to the shipping company un-crated.

2.) Shipping options can be discussed with the winning bidder following the end of the auction.  (UPS is near by, so that would be good for me!!)   Following the challenge of getting the model crated, the fee for shipping will be determined by your location and how much the courier charges to get the item to you and no more.

This item is available to be inspected, in person, by anyone wanting to see it before the auction ends.  Please contact me to arrange a time if interested.

If you have any questions about this item, don't hesitate to ask!!!

Thanks for looking.
