Old Original Ciga-Rola Cigarette Slot Machine made by O.D. Jennings. In unrestored original condition. For those of you who don't know, these machines were a cigarette dispensing machine. Insert Two Dimes at the top left of the machine, pull the small lever on the top left and then select the cigarette pack of your choice by pulling the knob on the front of the machine. Your Nickel change was dispensed at the front pocket. This machine was also a gambling device, put a Nickel at the top right, pull the handle on the right and if you got a winning combination on the reels you won the corresponding quantity of cigarette packs. This machine didn't pay out in cash, but paid you from One to Ten packs of cigarettes depending on what you lined up. If you didn't get a winning combination you lost your Nickel.
This machine has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, but no repainting or restaining has been done. The Reel Strips are a little rough, one Pall Mall has been smeared where someone tried to clean it, but they are original. New strips can be purchased for $45.00 from Rick Frink if the winning bidder desired. Cabinet is in very good condition. Both front glasses are original and look great. Both back doors are original, lock is missing in top door. The decals on the side of the cabinet have been renewed.
I believe that the machine is complete. The Slot Machine side works great. The machine accepts Nickels and spins and stops perfectly! The Dime side does not accept coins when inserted, they reject to the front changer pocket. Has both original Coin Boxes, one for Nickels and one for Dimes. The Lock on the Nickel Coin Box is original but I did have a new key cut for it.
From what I understand, there were Five different models of Ciga-Rola made between 1937 and 1951. Only one model had a changer, this is one of them. The casting inside is marked 1938. Has Four casters on the bottom of the machine that work great and make it effortless to move around.
The machine has 6 full packs of cigarettes in the front window. These are original packs, not reproductions, with Tax Stamps from around the era of the machine. (Yes, old cigarette packs are reproduced, I'm not sure why?) These look great and add a lot of character to the machine. The packs are Ramses, Phillip Morris, Chesterfield, Piedmont, Belmont and Monte Carlo.
The machine measures 5' 2" Tall, 1' 6" Deep by 1' 3" Wide.

I have had many question about this machine. To clarify, the vending side of the machine does not work, but it appears to be all there. I don't know what it needs to vend properly. I will add some additional pics. of the vending and inner workings this weekend.

Here are a few pictures of the Vendor in the machine. The Plunger Rod had been repaired at one time and is broken, but is there. (Third Pic. below.) Also, there is a pin that looks like it may be missing a spring. (Fifth Pic. below) The counter is there as well, and does work when triggered.
