I somehow missed the fact that this product has some kind of crystals inside....in removing the cap to fill it, all the crystals spilled out. Not good (imo) & also not very clear to those of us used to the sponge type humidifier. Would not purchase again, nor will I use it, especially considering the warning in the instructions that state if the crystals are not replaced periodically, a liner can crack & the inner contents could spill out inside the guitar. No thanks, I will not be taking that risk & I will stay w/ the traditional methods/devices I have used in the past.

It's recommended that it be replaced once a year?. It's cheap enough. Maybe they could make it a little sturdier so, it would last longer? ( just a suggestion ).One other thing if a person has several guitars it could get quite expensive replacing each humidifier once a year!.

Theses Oasis guitar humidifiers work great, simple to use, protect your guitar and your investment.. my guitar luthier recommended these, and I have them on all my acoustics.

A little over priced and high maintenance but dang these things work so great until they start leaking.

Several years ago I bought a rather expensive Breedlove guitar made from a very thirsty wood. Because it is so dry in Colorado it began to warp around the binding. Sent it to Breedlove and, after fixing it they recommended humidification. I bought two of these, fill them every three days and my problem is solved. Mine have lasted over 5 years now with no problems.
