. 1930's OWENS-ILLINOIS CLEAR GLASS OVAL SET OF CANISTERS 8 CANISTERS and 8 LIDS
These 1930's cannisters are in great condition, with a vertical rib design on the glass which has no chips. The cap has wear on the paint from normal use as you can see from the pictures. There are three LARGE canisters for FLOUR, SUGAR AND COFFEE. There is one marked TEA which stands 6 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" wide. THEN I have four small ones, labeled FLOUR, SUGAR, SALT and PEPPER. On the bottom, the jars are marked: DES. PAT 100014 with the Owens-Illinois trademark of a 1 inside a circle inside an elongated diamond, with a 3 on the left side and a 6 on the right side of the trademark. These are from the 1930's the best I can determine. The labels are all perfect, the only flaw on any of them would be the metal lids. They are not that bad, just some. I have tried to show in the pictures. PLEASE look carefully and ask me any questions you may have. They are VERY COOL!! I am selling lots of my treasures since we have recently moved from a very big 4 bedroom house in Michigan to a small house in Florida. Please check out my other auctions for some unique items.
