Since this has been modified to be REGION-FREE, this is truly the world's FIRST universal Blu-Ray player. It plays ZONE A, B & C Blu-ray Discs as well as REGION 0-6 DVDs! Oppo's BDP-83 comes with everything anyone could ever want in a Blu-Ray player, including PROFILE 2.0 support, internal decoding of DOLBY TRUEHD and DTS-MASTER AUDIO FORMATS, SACD playback and DVD-AUDIO. Since it is a used player, there may be minor scratches, dents, nicks, or other minor blemishes, etc.
If the other REGION-FREE & ZONE-FREE players do not describe how
the players are modified, it is safe to assume that the firmware has
been modified. This means that since the firmware is modified, you
will not be able to upgrade/change/reset your firmware without losing
the REGION-FREE & MULTI-ZONE capability. SINCE
THIS UNIT IS HARDWARE MODIFIED, YOU CAN UPGRADE/CHANGE/RESET YOUR
