ONKYO CP-1150F state-of-the-art turntable I accidently stayed logged in on a hotel computer and this is what the next guest was kind enough to bid on for me. I copied the original listing exactly, as I know nothing about turntables. I will ship it to you exactly as it was packed and shipped to me. The buy it now price in this auction is what I actually paid to preserve my excellent feedback score.   The CP-1150F was designed as a state-of -the-art turntable and cost about $600 when it was released in 1981. It was sold under the name of PX-5F in Japan. Fully automatic, two speed turntable with quartz-controlled direct drive, separate tone arm motor with optoelectronic control and direct-repeat and search functions. Heavy, die-cast, high inertia alloy platter with precision diamond cut top surface. Instead of the conventional rubber the platter mat is injection molded transparent amorphous polyolefin with highly even thickness and superior homogeneity. The drive mechanism is suspended on a sandwich structure bearing on top the thick, solid aluminum plate which also serves as arm base. The chassis is molded of multiple layers of polymer resin, synthetic rubber and special viscoelasticity resin. These were layered under high pressure then combined with the aluminum plate. This complex structure due to the different physical properties minimizes the vibration and howling effect. The chassis has double suspension-isolation and feet are made of spring and rubber combination. The straight tone arm and the head shell are made of carbon fiber, and they are one of the best of their kind. Due to their low moving mass and highrigidity, even warped discs can be played without audible anomalies. The tone arm has a precisely adjustable anti-skating device. High torque direct drive 20 pole, 30 slot motor with quartz oscillation control yields less than 0.025% flutter. Arm, chassis, feet are excellent (rubber parts and springs are intact), platter is shiny. The dust cover is in excellent condition, clean, clear, no cracks, no chips. The control panel is clean and is in excellent condition. This table works excellently too: speed is dead on, tonearm mechanism is perfectly aligned. Buttons are sensitive as new, RCA plugs are clean, and hinges are like new. The TT is very well cleaned.
