It's not perfect and I've seen complaints from others but it works ok for my purposes in my situation. It is susceptible to interference and you aren't going to get HD quality out of it, but since it's got a Composite out, that should be expected. I also bought a second receiver and the TV I wanted to hook it up to didn't have a Composite input, but a Composite to HDMI converter I have worked just fine for the task. I've had to reposition the antenna a few times, but I'll take that over renting 2 additional cable boxes any day of the week since I live alone and just wanted to be be able to watch cable in other rooms. location for the transmitter and receivers is key to getting a good signal. It may be necessary to position far enough away from other electronics to get a good signal so longer cables might be needed. I'd say it's worth a try if it looks like it will meet your needs.Read full review

I had a general idea of what the product did. That;s why I ordered it. When it arrived I was surprised to see no documentation or setup info. I did get everything to work but without a lot of trial and error. Even a link to a setup page would have been nice.

After being very frustrated with inconsistent operation using chromecast and Slingplayer for a TV in our kitchen without cable, we reverted to the low-tech Nyrius system. Had used a similar system for several years before it failed, but wanted the better image from HD. Overall, we are satisfied with this for now and especially for a $50 price. Feed to the kitchen is from a cablebox in our family room about 25 feet away. Makes changing channels easy -- just lean into the family room.

Recommended one of these to a client who didn't want cables running from his den to his bedroom. He bought it and I set it up. He had a similar one that was a different brand that died after about 7 years. This one worked right out of the box for him. SO, when my 81-year-old mother mentioned she'd like a TV in her large master bathroom...this is what I ordered. Had issues with a very fuzzy picture at first, but it was due to the poor connection at the DirecTV satellite box where a sort-of S-Video breakout cable was needed for the three RCA ports. Fortunately, my father kept what I assume was this required breakout cable that probably came with the satellite box in his box 'o wires...and it worked! But it wasn't connected well at first. I wiggled it and noticed a brief clearness in the image. Made sure it was securely connected and was golden from the point on. GREAT product and fully recommend it! Mom's signal is going through 3 walls, but since it distorts temporarily when I walk through the short hallway from the master bedroom to the master bath...I think some of the signal is bouncing through this passageway.Read full review

This unit is easy to install and works much better than the old 2.4 ghz models. There is less static and better sound and video. Highly recommend.
